In many agile software projects, we have scrutinized the customer's clear ideas. We will certainly do the same in your project. This "challenging" is not an end in itself, but leads to better results. Because sometimes the rock-solid basic assumptions are no longer so rock-solid when you talk about them. The result: the software project often becomes much easier than initially thought.
Of course, there are also projects or products where software development is very linear - from conception to rollout. But the "it has to be this way and no other" is becoming less and less common, especially in individual software development. We have been observing this for several years.

The pressure on companies is increasing. Agile software development: methods such as Scrum and Kanban immediately come to mind. But which agile method is the right one? Opinions differ on this. For some it's Scrum, for others it's Kanban. And then it has to run exactly as the Scrum Guide stipulates.
We don't see it that way and we don't think in terms of a standardized approach. Sure, we also largely rely on Scrum: short cycles, iterative processes and small steps. But we have adapted Scrum so that it suits us. After all, the key to success is to see ourselves as a team that develops products in close cooperation. That is much more important than the choice of method.
