What is Rail Temperature Monitoring

Rail Temperature Monitoring refers to the continuous monitoring of the temperature of railroad tracks in order to prevent safety risks such as deformations or broken tracks. Rails are sensitive to temperature fluctuations, which can lead to structural problems, especially in extreme weather conditions.

The aim is to detect thermal stresses, deformations and material fatigue at an early stage and thus minimize safety risks in rail transport.
