SPATRA’s main objectives are toreduce traffic congestionat road borders,lower carbon dioxide emissions, and improve the efficiency andsafety of European rail networksby providing early warnings of the negative effects of extreme temperatures. By leveraging the capabilities of satellite technology, the project aims to create a more sustainable and resilient land, rail, and road transport system. Key objectives include developing applications to optimize logistics, creating early warning systems for risks in railway infrastructure, and promoting the adoption of space-based technologies for traffic management in the EU.
