Identification and Monitoring of Urban Heat Islands

Understanding Climate Change and Urban Heat Island Effects and Taking Action

What is the identification and monitoring of urban heat islands?

This involves studying the so-called urban heat island effect (UHI effect), in which urban areas are significantly warmer than their surrounding rural areas.
