City Climate

Understanding Climate Change and Urban Heat Island Effects and Taking Action

Satellite data helps identify key climate indicators, such as urban heat islands, green spaces, forest cover, vegetation types, surface reflectivity (albedo), heat distribution, fire hazards, cold air currents, and much more. Furthermore, the use of satellite data through simulation (for example, of an urban area) makes it possible to evaluate past and future climate strategies and compare them.

Monitoring Urban Vegetation
The monitoring, analysis, and assessment of vegetation in urban areas using Earth observation data.
Cityscape with many rooftops
Identification and Monitoring of Urban Heat Islands
Monitoring and analyzing temperature variations in cities using satellite data or ground-based sensors.

Infrastructure monitoring

Using satellite data to monitor and analyze the Earth's physical infrastructure.

By combining satellite data with on-board sensors, we enable precise monitoring and analysis of railway lines to detect changes along the tracks at an early stage and minimize risks.
